Thoughts on Class 1-23

First of all going over the right way to write a post and comment on blogger really helped me see where I was lacking in my posts and comments. This really helped me because now I know what exactly Meagan is looking for. But what got me really thinking in class was our discussion on the cartoon on education. This cartoon is the direct reflection of how the education system has changed throughout the years. During our discussion everybody had a lot of different ideas about why and what this cartoon depicted, but the ones that got me thinking were the ideas of how much the items that are being taught have changed, but the style of teaching hasn't. With new technology being developed every day the youth of America is getting taught things at a very young age. With all this new knowledge the style of teaching hasn't changed as much. When we did our skits in class, most of us chose to have a teacher at the head of the class and the students in desks looking up at the teacher. In my last post I was wondering how this classroom setting effected the students performance.That's still a question that I have, this style of teaching is probably not the best way to teach the youth with the amount of knowledge that they have.
